A BIZARRE new cafe has opened in China - where waitresses dress up in French maid outfits and hand-feed customers.
Curious coffee-lovers have travelled from all corners of Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang Province, to get a taste of the "maid cafe" experience.
The business, set up by a local university graduate, mostly employs students - who presented the cafe's first customers with a dance performance and personalised service by the waitresses, whose job description also dabbing customers' mouths with serviettes.
Extraordinary images captured in the themed cafe - which was apparently inspired by similar establishments in Japan - show some customers looking extremely awkward, while others seem to thoroughly enjoy the bizarre experience.
