I’m terrified of Jaws theme tune – I burst out crying whenever I hear it
A MUM is so terrified of the Jaws music she bursts into tears when the dreaded “dun dun” strikes up.
Lanette Wiltshire, 48, loves sharks and going in the sea but gets heart palpitations when she hears the movie’s chilling music.
Even a child’s rendition can freak her out — as it did when admiring “amazing” sharks in the London Aquarium a couple of years ago.
She recalled: “A little boy started singing the theme tune and it upset me but I didn’t want to make a big deal about it.
"But I burst out crying and I had to ask his mum to make him stop.”
The mum of four thinks her theme tune trauma began when watching the 1975 thriller as a 12-year-old while in pain with appendicitis.

Lanette, from Greenhithe, Kent, has never sought help before but called ITV’s This Morning this week to discuss her problem.
And she courageously managed to keep the tears at bay when they played the music on air.
Lanette told The Sun: “It was quite a miracle.
"I still don’t like the tune but it’s a start.”
