FETISH CHAMBER TORTURE

Violent drugs gang jailed for kidnapping, torturing and threatening to rape a man in a SEX DUNGEON

Victim Gary Jones was assaulted in the kinky chamber over a £2,500 cannabis debt

A VIOLENT drugs gang has been jailed for kidnapping and torturing a man - in a SEX DUNGEON.

Gary Jones, 27, was manacled, stripped from the waist down and hit across the buttocks in the terrifying ordeal in a fetish chamber

He was also threatened with rape in the dungeon - which police say was properly registered and licensed - in an alleged row over an unpaid drugs debt.

He had been seized by four men and hit with metal tubes from a vacuum cleaner before being masked, bundled into a vehicle and driven 40 miles into Cornwall.

There a fifth man joined to torture him - demanding the £2,500 he was said to owe them for cannabis, Plymouth Crown Court heard.

His battered body was then dumped on the outskirts of a town with a broken jaw and covered in bruises.

Luke Coley, 28, Barry Wright, 27, Mark Andrew Reeves, 25, James Hamilton-Bing, 28, and 28-year-old Mark Bird all pleaded guilty to kidnapping Mr Jones on March 27.

Judge Paul Darlow jailed Coley for six years and five months; Bird, Reeves and Wright for five years and seven months each and Hamilton-Bing for four years and 11 months.

Prosecuting, Geoff Coombe said Coley, Reeves, Bird and Wright barged their way into Mr Jones's home in Plymouth, Devon, at about 6.30pm on March 27.

He added that Mr Jones recognised Coley and Bird because he had bought 18oz of cannabis with two others from Coley the previous summer.

Mr Coombe said the men held Mr Jones solely responsible for the debt and demanded £2,500.

He added the gang punched him repeatedly and Coley and others hit him with metal tubes from a vacuum cleaner.

Coley picked up a kitchen knife, the court heard. Mr Coombe said the gang then put a balaclava on his head and taped up the eye holes.

He was then bundled into a stolen Ford Cougar fitted with false plates, where he was kicked and punched repeatedly

Mr Coombe said that Mr Jones was driven to a fetish dungeon in Roche, Cornwall, which was rented by Hamilton-Bing, who met the others there and helped bundle Mr Jones into the chamber.

Mr Coombe said that, still masked, Mr Jones was manacled with his hands above his head.

"He was punched a further five or six times to the torso, until he felt that he could not breathe," he told the court.

Mr Coombe said that, after a terrifying 15 minutes in the dungeon, Mr Jones was driven away and dumped on the outskirts of St Austell.

He managed to catch a train home and call the police.

All five members of the gang were arrested the next day.

Jeremy Leaning, for Coley, of St Austell, Cornwall, said he had been a model prisoner since he was locked up six months ago.

He added: "I am instructed that the original plan was just to see him about the debt and then matters got out of hand."

Robert Linford, for Reeves and Hamilton-Bing said that Mr Jones had a longer criminal record "probably more than all the others put together".

He added that Mr Jones deserved the protection of the law, but the impact on the offence would be less than for a law-abiding person.

Mr Linford said Hamilton-Bing suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, having served in The Rifles.

He said that he was not involved in any plot nor the initial abduction.

Mr Linford, who knew some of the defendants, said he received a phone call asking for the gang to use the chamber that night.

He added: "He is sorry, as is Mr Reeves, they should never have got involved."

Police said after the case that the fetish dungeon was properly registered and licensed.

Det Insp Mike Cooper said outside court: "It show that we will investigate crime regardless of the background of the victim."
