A professional gamer who became a star thanks to his skill at Call of Duty has died in a car crash in Colorado.
The eSports universe was in mourning after shooter expert Phillip "Phizzurp" Klemenov, 23, was killed in the smash in the city of Aurora.
Police posted a picture of the twisted wreckage of a black car believed to be the one Klemenov was driving.
His girlfriend Adrianna, who was in the car with him, tweeted a video to let the gaming world know about the tragedy.
With hers arm in a sling and fighting back tears, she said: "I am making this video to let all of you guys know that Phil and I and his best friend were in a car accident today.
"Phil lost control of the car, we flipped into a pole and through three trees. I was the only one that was conscious and I just want to let you guys know."
She added: "He was a great guy. He did not deserve this.
"Phil is such a good man and I loved him so much. He was so kind."
Professional e-sports organisation H2K Gaming posted a message on Facebook announcing his death: "Today we lost a beloved H2K family member. Phillip "Phizzurp" Klemenov passed away earlier today.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and all of those who were lucky enough to have him in their lives.
