THIS is the shocking moment CCTV footage captured a woman being knocked down in a horrifying collision on a zebra crossing.
In the heart-stopping clip, the woman is hurled into the air as a yellow car zooms straight into her, before driving off as she slams onto the tarmac.
Concerned shop workers and passers-by rush to her aid as she lies crumpled in a heap on the floor, before calling emergency services.
The shocking collision was filmed by CCTV cameras at Eight Barbers, in Netherfield, Nottinghamshire, at around 6.10pm on Friday.
Owner Emmanuel Baran, 40, said: "It's a scary road - I see a lot of accidents happening here, people are always racing through.
"People drive too fast, and they don't respect the zebra crossings."
Wife Emilia Baran, 24, who also works in the shop, added: "It's very shocking - this is the second or third time there's been a major accident on that crossing.
"People do go quite fast and it can be dangerous - I think they need to lower the speed limit or put a speed camera there.
"It's horrible, people get really hurt and next time it could be a child - there's a school and kindergarten here, and there are lots of children around.
"I've got a three-year-old son, and I get scared to cross that road.
"I have nightmares about it since the accident on Friday - it's really unsafe, something needs to be done.
"Next time somebody could die - it's just so dangerous."
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "We were called to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Victoria Road, Netherfield at approximately 6.10pm on September 30, 2016.
"The pedestrian was taken to hospital with [what are]believed to be minor injuries."
