MP Chris Pincher ‘seeking professional medical support’ after he was suspended by Tories over ‘drunken gropes’ shame
DISGRACED MP Chris Pincher is getting "professional medical support" after he allegedly groped two men at a swanky Tory members' club.
The Tamworth MP insisted he was "truly sorry" in a statement today as he vowed to fully co-operate with the inquiry into his alleged drunken antics.
The Sun revealed how Pincher sensationally resigned as Deputy Chief Whip on Thursday, while Boris Johnson bowed to pressure to remove the Conservative whip.
Now sitting as an independent, Mr Pincher is battling to remain in the House of Commons - despite opponents saying his position is untenable.
In a statement, the MP for Tamworth in Staffs., said: "I respect the Prime Minister's decision to suspend the whip whilst an inquiry is underway, and I will cooperate fully with it.
"As I told the Prime Minister, I drank far too much on Wednesday night, embarrassing myself and others and I am truly sorry for the upset I caused.

"The stresses of the last few days, coming on top of those over the last several months, have made me accept that I will benefit from professional medical support."
He added: "I am in the process of seeking that now, and I hope to be able to return to my constituency duties as soon as possible."
Critics in Westminster are unlikely to be calmed by the statement from the man who resigned as deputy chief whip when reports of his latest behaviour first emerged.
Neil Parish, the former Conservative MP pressured to resign from the Commons after watching porn in Parliament, has accused No 10 of "double standards".
Meanwhile, Tory backbencher Andrew Bridgen echoed the sentiment, suggesting Mr Pincher was being treated differently because he is an "arch-loyalist" to the Prime Minister.
Pincher was drinking at the Carlton Club in London’s Piccadilly on Wednesday when he allegedly groped two fellow guests.
Amazingly, it was the second time the MP — who has been the MP for Tamworth since 2010 — had been forced to quit the whips’ office over sex allegations.
In 2017 he was accused of making a pass at a former Olympic rower while dressed in a bathrobe like a “pound shop Harvey Weinstein”.
Athlete and Tory activist Alex Story, who was 26 at the time, said Pincher attempted to untuck his shirt, massaged his neck and whispered: “You’ll go far in the Conservative Party”.
Pincher quit and referred himself to the police after the incident — which was said to have happened at his home in 2001.
He was cleared of wrongdoing by a Tory probe - but the allegations have not stopped there.
It's since been claimed Pincher once groped a vulnerable young man who had passed out in his flat, with the victim allegedly waking up to find the MP on top of him.
Another young parliamentary worker had also passed out in Pincher’s central London flat when the alleged incident happened at the end of a night out in 2013.
The shocked young men both left and opted not to make official complaints - Pincher has denied the claims.
As a result, Boris Johnson was facing questions over the delay in suspending the whip and why he appointed the MP to the key role despite past allegations.
