Major update in case of escaped convict Casey White & guard lover Vicky who died by a head gunshot after cop chase
FORMERLY escaped convict Casey White has been indicted for the murder of his jail guard lover Vicky White, it was announced on Tuesday.
Vicky White died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on May 9 after a cop chase saw authorities closing in on the pair after 11 days on the run.
Casey, who is not related to Vicky, had allegedly formed a suicide pact with the corrections officer after she broke him out of an Alabama jail.
He was allegedly supposed to die in a shootout with cops as part of the pact but instead was taken back into custody without further incident.
The two were believed to have developed a romance while Casey was booked in the Lauderdale County jail on murder charges.
The former prison guard, 56, was the mastermind behind the jailbreak to free her alleged prison lover, 38, according to Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton.

A wild 11-day manhunt resulted in a high-speed car chase where authorities found Vicky White dead by a single gunshot wound to the head on May 9 after the rogue couple crashed.
The coroner's office ruled her death a suicide.
Now, court officials are accusing Casey of Vicky's sudden death after the cop chase.
"The Felony Murder indictment alleges that during the courts of and in furtherance of committing Escape in the First Degree, White caused the death of Vicky White, who died from a gunshot to the head," Lauderdale Couty District Attorney Chris Connolly said in a news release, according to .

CASEY'S CAPTURE
More footage from the police department showed cops removing a gun from Vicky's body before rending first aid.
The pair were found at a hotel before taking cops on a brief car chase that lasted a few minutes, according to Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding.
At least a dozen officers surrounded the fugitive.
Cops said their vehicle was involved in a wreck as pictures showed their mangled car.
Casey White was taken into custody while Vicky was hospitalized before she died of her injuries.
The local coroner confirmed that she died in the hospital.
The cause of death was at first revealed as a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, an initial autopsy confirmed.
Casey and Vicky were expected to be brought back to Alabama for arraignment on new charges following their capture.
She was facing up to 10 years behind bars for helping Casey.
Cops hoped Vicky would survive her injuries as Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said she had "answers to give".
He said: "I had every bit of trust in Vicky White. She had been an exemplary employee.
"And what in the world provoked her, or prompted her, to pull something like this, I don’t know. I don’t know if we’ll ever know."
The vehicle the two were driving in is believed to have been stolen in Tennessee and was driven nearly 175 miles to Evansville, investigators said.
