Kim Kardashian’s security Pascal Duvier filed for company bankruptcy just 10 weeks ago — with eye-watering debts of nearly £1million
Reality star's 19-stone bodyguard lodged claim for his firm ProtectSecurity in July after business racked up huge debts
KIM Kardashian’s bodyguard filed for bankruptcy for his German security firm just 10 weeks before the reality star fell victim to an £8.5million heist.
Pascal Duvier, 43, who was in a nightclub with Kim’s sisters Kourtney and Kendall at the time of the attack, lodged a claim for insolvency at Heidelberg administrative court on July 22.
The bodyguard’s firm, ProtectSecurity, has run security for a number of stars, from Kim’s husband Kanye West, to the Black Eyed Peas.
His business has racked up debts totalling €1,093,518 (£961,296).
In an interview with the , Duvier’s insolvency lawyer revealed: “There is so much debt. There are many claimants.
"I cannot say the exact number. Lots.”
The company’s “inability to pay any debts” means a lawyer has been appointed by the court to examine all its finances.
Claimants who say the company owes them money had until September 16 to file any outstanding claims.
The court documents do not reveal who the company owes money to, or how much it has in assets.
The file stated that the cash would be settled through correspondence, negating the need for any court appearances.
The insolvency lawyer must now determine whether the company has money in any separate accounts, undeclared assets, or anything else of value which could be used to pay creditors.
The claims look set to be processed on October 10.
Pascal Duvier was last spotted outside his security firms’ premises in Eppelheim a number of weeks ago.
In an interview with MailOnline, a business owner on the industrial estate revealed: “He came here with his secretary but didn't stay long.
“Since then the blinds have been down and there has not been a soul here.”
The office space costs just £400 a month to rent.
Duvier's bankruptcy claim was lodged mere weeks before a gun was held to Kim Kardashian’s head in the early hours of Monday morning, when five men disguised themselves as police officers to make their way into her apartment in Paris and steal goods worth £8.5million.
Kim was sleeping alone when she heard the robbers coming upstairs at 2.30am.
She feared she would be raped as the masked criminals bound and gagged her in the luxury Hotel de Pourtalès, and pleaded with her attackers: “Please don’t kill me! I have children.”
Kim had been left alone by bodyguard Duvier, who was partying at posh nightclub L’Arc with Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.
The bodyguard was reportedly alerted to the incident by a text message from Kim’s close friend Simone Harouche.

Duvier has since vowed to hit back at the robbers.
In a blog post, the hulking German bodyguard wrote: “The events that occurred in Paris was one of the most sickening things I have seen or heard.
"We have tips and leads and we will find you.
"That I promise you - you messed with the wrong one."
The bodyguard is now facing claims he left her exposed by neglecting to secure the flat in his absence.
Despite this, Kim is alleged to have told her friends she doesn’t blame 6ft 4ins Pascal for the heist.
Following the incident, a source told magazine: “Kim is not blaming Pascal.
“She felt completely safe at the Paris apartment and doesn't believe this is his fault in any way.”
There is no suggestion Duvier was involved in the incident, or that he is under any suspicion.
Duvier has worked for rapper Kanye West since 2012, and was lauded with praise just one week ago after he shielded Kim from media personality Vitalii Sediuk, who attempted to sexually assault the reality star in the streets of Paris.
On his LinkedIn profile, Duvier says: “My goal as the Chairman of ProtectSecurity is build a security team around the protected person.”
Duvier has been in charge of his firm ProtectSecurity for the past 19 years, and lists his experience with A-List stars including the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Will.i.am, the Pussycat Dolls, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Lana del Rey and Katy Perry.
Mere hours before the attack on Kim, Duvier wrote online: “You don't become a bodyguard overnight.
"It's a job with dedication, responsibility and passion.”
