Lottery winners who look unrecognisable – transformation of EuroMillions teen to bloke who blew £10m & is now a coalman

IT IS most people's dream to wake up one day to find that they have become instant millionaires by winning the lottery.

While some winners have gone on to live lavish lives, investing in property and donating to charity, others have suffered heartbreak and financial ruin.

They say money can change people, and that's certainly the case for these jackpot winners, who are almost unrecognisable from when they bought their winning ticket.

Jane Park

Jane Park became a millionaire at 17 when she scooped £1m on the EuroMillions in 2013.

She wasted no time splurging on holidays, cars, clothes - and cosmetic surgery.

But it hasn't all been smooth-sailing. The former admin temp admitted she almost lost her life after undergoing a bum lift op in 2017.

She was rushed to hospital with suspected sepsis after feeling unwell.

That same year she admitted she was considering taking legal action against the National Lottery, claiming it had ruined her life.

She told the Sunday People: "I wish I had no  most days. I say to myself, ‘My life would be so much easier if I hadn’t won.’

"People look at me and think, ‘I wish I had her lifestyle, I wish I had her money.’ But they don’t realise the extent of my stress."

Last year Jane few to a private hospital in Turkey to get the bum lift re-done and now proudly flaunts her new figure on social media.

She also underwent a boob job, going from a 34B to a 36FF, which she claimed was "up there with the best things I've bought".

In 2012, Jim and Maureen hit the jackpot when they won a massive £4.4million.

Instead of splashing the cash on material things, Jim decided to spend £40,000 on weight loss surgery for him and his wife.

Before the gastric bypass and skin removal procedure, they weighed in at 18 and 17 stone respectively, and have since lost 13 stone between them.

The former car factory worker told Nottinghamshire Live in 2019: "I'd tried everything, I'd been everywhere. I'd tried jogging, swimming... everything, but none of it was working. We decided to spend some money and get it done properly."

They have now made changes to their diet and are happier than ever.

Self-professed 'King of the Chavs' Michael won an eye-watering 9.7million in 2002 at the age of 19.

He gave friends and family £4million and handed £1.4million over to his wife Sandra Aiken.

But his life changed for the worst when he blew his lot on cocaine, alcohol, gambling, and prostitutes.

He was often pictured wearing over the top chunky jewellery and designer gear.

The former binman's wife also left him and he spent the next few years appearing in court over 30 times.

In 2009, she told The Mirror: "Mickey thought he was a big shot, better than everyone because he had money, and he surrounded himself with hangers-on.

"I left because he was frittering away £10million on drink and drug binges and was cheating on me with prostitutes."

Michael received an ASBO in 2005 and was jailed for affray in 2006 for nine months. By 2013, he had gone bankrupt and was living on benefits.

After being unable to find a job, he finally managed to secure one at a coal mine in Scotland.

He has also reconciled and remarried his ex-wife.

At 16, Callie became Britain's youngest ever lottery winner when she received £1.8million in 2003.

But years after her win, it emerged that she had squandered all her winnings and was living on benefits.

She was also hit with a 22-month driving ban after her car veered off a country lane while she was high on cocaine.

Court documents revealed that she blew her fortune on wild parties, three boob jobs, drugs and designer clothes.

Callie also gave huge amounts of money to friends, family and hangers-on.

She now totally looks unrecognisable with several tattoos including a design covering her neck and arms.

The former checkout girl has also shaved her head and dyed it silver.

Sarah won £3million at 21 in 2005 and immediately treated her sisters to a boob job.

In 2019, she revealed that she had also gone under the knife after breastfeeding "wrecked" her boobs.

She put her winnings to good use when she went back to university to make her mother proud, and bought her parents a house.

Sarah also bought a house for herself and has recently said that she has not experienced "bad part" of become a millionaire.

She now lives in Tyne and Wear with her partner and their three children.

Roger and Lara Griffiths hit the big time when they won £1.83 million on the Lottery in 2005.

They lived the high life by going on luxurious holidays to Dubai, Monaco and Rome.

The couple lived in Yorkshire in an £800,000 barn conversion with their two daughters.

But eight years after their win, Lara blasted Roger for making decisions which saw them lose their money and destroy their marriage.

Spotting a fuller pout and blonde hair, Lara told the Mail in 2013: "He f****d up everything."

But Roger, who at the time claimed to have just £7 in his bank account, rejected her claims and blamed her for their downward spiral.
