Boy, 12, stabbed repeatedly by machete-wielding gang as cops hunt attackers
COPS are hunting for a machete-wielding gang after a 12-year-old boy was repeatedly stabbed.
Emergency services dashed to the scene in Poplar, East London, at about 9.30pm on Monday after the youngster was found with multiple stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made and police believe a gang may be behind the attack.
Police have issued a notice to local residents, warning them the suspects may still be in the area and armed with weapons, reports.
Cops believe there is potential for "revenge attacks" to take place in Poplar and the surrounding area in the coming days.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A 12-year-old boy was found with stab wounds.
"He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. His condition is not life threatening."
Meanwhile, a woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death.
The victim was found injured in Mortlake, South West London, shortly before 10pm on Monday.

He was rushed to hospital after being treated at the scene but sadly later died.
The suspect, 27, and the victim - believed to be 34 - were known to each other, cops say.
Police are working on informing the man's next of kin after the woman was arrested near the scene.
It comes just weeks after a teenager was stabbed to death in a broad daylight horror attack.

Police confirmed a 17-year-old man died from his injuries after the knifing in Tottenham, North London, on June 18.
The young man - who was stabbed in Orchard Place at around 12.10pm - was the seventh person to be knifed in the capital in just 24-hours.
