Robert De Niro turns Raging Bull with withering Donald Trump put-down as he warns: ‘I want to punch you in the face’
RAGING Bull star Robert De Niro has Donald Trump on the ropes after telling the controversial businessman: "I'd like to punch you in the face."
The screen icon pulled no punches as he delivered a withering assessment of the Republican presidential candidate.
Speaking to camera, the Taxi Driver star, 73, said: "He's a punk, he's a dog, he's a pig, a mutt who doesn't do his homework, doesn't care."
The video was supposed to be a neutral clip encouraging US voters to get on their feet and vote in November's election.
The campaign has been supported by Kendall Jenner and Leonardo di Caprio recently.
But New Yorker De Niro went off piste and launched into a vicious combo of jabs and right-hooks.
He continued: "Colin Powell said it best: He's a national disaster. He's an embarrassment to this country.
“It makes me so angry that this country has gotten to this point that this fool, this bozo, has wound up where he has.
"He talks how he wants to punch people in the face?
"Well, I'd like to punch him in the face. This is somebody that we want for president? I don't think so.
"What I care about is the direction of this country, and what I'm very, very worried about is that it might go in the wrong direction with someone like Donald Trump.
"If you care about your future, vote for it.”
The video marks a rough 24 hours for Trump in his battle against Hillary Clinton for the White House.
He went on to suggest he could "Grab them by the p***y."
Democrat Clinton called the shocking comments "horrific" and tweeted: "We cannot allow this man to become president."
