A GUN-toting motorist threatened to SHOOT a 'killer clown' while screaming 'leave the kids alone!'

After slowing down and pulling up next to the clown one of the men pulls a gun and aims it at him.

Others in the car then start screaming; "What the f*** is wrong with you" and "leave the kids alone b****."

Another yells "get your a*** out of here mother-f*****"

The clearly startled clown at first freezes before turning and 'running for his life'.

At one point he nearly stumbles as he looks back over his shoulder at the men in the car.

The ten-second clip has been posted on Twitter and has already been viewed thousands of times.

Chicago is already on high alert after a spate of terrifying clown attacks and threats.

Clown sightings in the area have sparked major concern among parents after threats targeting schools in the area were posted to social media and in-person.

Authorities in Waukegan are investigating clown threats against Greenwood Elementary School after staff members reported three people dressed in full clown attire taunted students.

According to local reports, one of the suspects brandished a knife, while another clown had a gun “in his pocket.”

The clowns reportedly told the students they were planning to return and “kill them.”

“The children reported to us that one of them might have a knife. And they believe that they saw some sort of object in one of their pockets. It could be a handgun,” said Cmdr. Joe Florip, Waukegan Police Department
