Met Police traffic cop arrested over claims he used warrant card to pull over drivers and ROB them
A MET Police traffic cop has been arrested over claims he robbed motorists and visited brothels while on duty.
The veteran officer is said to have used an unmarked police vehicle to pull over drivers — and allegedly used his warrant card to confiscate money and goods from them.
Sources say the alleged “highwayman” used the stolen cash to pay for sex with prostitutes.
The officer was arrested last Wednesday by anti-corruption cops.
He was held on suspicion of “corruption, misconduct in public office and related offences”, and released under investigation.
It is understood he is also being probed over alleged links to organised crooks in the Midlands.

Police seized his mobile phone and are analysing calls and data.
A source said: “He is said to have pressured victims to hand their things over just because he was a police officer. Then he’d apparently use the money in brothels several times a week while on duty.”
The Met said the officer has been suspended.
The case follows a string of Met scandals which saw Dame Cressida Dick resign as commissioner.
