Daring Red Arrows pilots try their own themed rollercoaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
DARING Red Arrows pilots were passengers for once when they tried out a ride named after them.
The RAF’s aerobatic team went for a tailspin on the Red Arrows Skyforce, a 72ft-high, 12-seat ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
It is the world’s only rollercoaster ride paying tribute to the Red Arrows.
They were in Blackpool for the town’s annual air show.
Thousands flocked to the Lancashire coast to see them soar through the air.
It comes after we revealed on Monday how the team was in free-fall after one pilot was sacked over an alleged affair, while a second resigned in disgust over a “toxic culture’’ in training.

It also follows the shock departure of a third ace for family reasons in January.
A lack of trained pilots meant commanders had to axe some of its well-known formations, such as the Diamond Nine, days before their first airshow.
The skeleton team of seven still managed to wow crowds.
Emergency reserves were drafted in for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee flypast in June.
