A group of grannies have been let loose on Snapchat for the first time and their hilarious reactions will delight you.

BT have filmed a social experiment where grannies are given access to Snapchat for the first time.

The company invited eight over-65s to try out the app for the first time, capturing their reactions and the hilarity that ensued.

All of the women found Snapchat entertaining, although some of the more unusual filters did cause some funny reactions.

"Why would you want a melon on your head," mused 68-year-old Susan Baskerville after trying out the melon head filter.

Helen Field, 78, said it was a "good way to keep in touch", and Lesley Taylor, 70, said it would be "really good if you had a down day".

While Snapchat is extremely popular amongst younger users, the app is also used for a lot of 'sexting' (sexual texting).
