'I WANT MY DADDY'

Heartbreaking scenes as 10-year-old Aya is left alone after latest devastating airstrike in Syria as Bojo pushes for RAF to enforce no-fly zone

SYRIA'S descent into hell was laid bare by a bewildered child called Aya - aged around ten - who was captured on camera crying after another airstrike in strife-torn Homs.

Forces loyal to tyrant Bashar al-Assad and his Russian allies were accused of launching the mortar strike which left the weeping child with blood pouring from head wounds.

Doctors at the medical centre in Talbiseh wiped her face and scalp as she shrieked “Baba!” - Arabic for “Father!”

Aya was separated from her dad in air and mortar attacks on Monday, before she was rescued and taken to a field hospital.

Opposition sources said four strikes devastated the town, killing four civilians and injuring many more including children and babies.

Aya was later reunited with her father after she was treated in the medical centre.

Talbiseh, which has a population of 84,000, has been hammered in recent weeks after a seven-day ceasefire last month collapsed.

Boris Johnson is privately pushing for Britain and America to enforce no a fly zone over Syria, The Sun can reveal.

The Foreign Secretary wants the RAF to launch the new mission - long called for by campaigners as well as Turkey - to stop the massacre in war-torn cities like Aleppo.

And he has urged PM Theresa May to mount a fresh bid to persuade America to join it after the US presidential elections in November.

Outgoing US leader Barack Obama has refused to confront the Syrian tyrant Bashar Assad and his ally Russia, who are pounding the besieged city.

Boris signalled his support for no fly zones during an emergency Commons debate on Syria yesterday.

Mr Johnson told MPs: “I have every sympathy with those ideas and for the motives behind them.

“We must work through all these types of options together with our allies”.

But warning it may mean lead to a hot war with Russia, he added: “We cannot do that unless we are prepared to shoot down planes or helicopters that violate that zone and we need to think very carefully about the consequences”.

But in private, The Sun has learned that Boris has gone much further and has also began lobbying President Obama’s likely successor in the White House, Hillary Clinton – known to be more of a military hawk.

A source close to the Foreign Secretary said: “Boris believes a no fly or demilitarised zone would stop people dying, it’s that simple.

“It doesn’t have to mean a confrontation with Russia. Putin can still agree to a no fly zone too by simply grounding his own planes.

“We can then quickly force Assad’s jets and helicopters out of the sky.”

The RAF saved Kurds from Saddam Hussein’s massacre in 1991 by imposing a no-fly zone over northern Iraq.

Downing Street poured cold water on the idea last night, but stopped short of ruling it out altogether.

The PM’s official spokesman said: “The notion that we would somehow be engaged in enforcing a no-fly zone with Russian aircraft in the same airspace is clearly a potentially very difficult and challenging situation.

“It is one which would need to be very carefully looked at and the risks attached to it very carefully analysed before we would head down that path.

On Saturday, Russia blocked a UN Security Council resolution to stop any more air strikes on Aleppo.

Furious Vladimir Putin cancelled a visit to Paris next after French president Francois Hollande insisted they discuss his support for Assad.

Meanwhile, The UN warned that besieged Aleppo faces total destruction with the loss thousands of civilian lives by Christmas if Russian-backed airstrikes continue.

The US and France have led calls for Russia and Syria to be investigated over possible war crimes during the conflict.
