A STUDENT who terrified a campus by charging towards his pals with a chainsaw while dressed as a “killer clown” has apologised.
Media studies student Kenny Ojuederie, 19, was arrested and now fears for his future at Brunel University in London.
It was the latest in a series of bizarre and dangerous incidents of pranksters wearing the freaky masks.
Sick jokers have been roaming our streets in clown outfits, some armed with knives to spread terror.
Kenny revealed he bought the chainsaw at B&Q to record a stunt for his YouTube channel.
He said last night: “I’m really nervous. I don’t know what is going to happen. It’s such a mess.
“First of all I want to say a massive sorry to anyone I have scared.
“Secondly, this was a YouTube video. All those people in the video, they were my friends.
“It was a pre-planned thing, and none of the people who I chased were strangers.
“Everyone could see me talking to my friends beforehand.
“There are 400 cameras on the campus and you can check them and see that the people I chased are my friends.
“People are making me out to be a terrorist.”
He told the site he regularly makes YouTube videos for 1,500 followers and uses a chainsaw for the "shock factor".
Kenny fears the ill-advised student may have ruined his university career.
The Met Police have revealed they are investigating three incidents in London which could be classed as criminal offences.
Commander Julian Bennett, the head of crime prevention at the Met, said: “We are currently assessing a small number of reported ‘killer clown’ incidents in London, three of which meet the threshold of a criminal offence.
"Our primary responsibility is identifying and investigating those incidents where a criminal offence has occurred.
"However, anti-social behaviour can leave people feeling scared, anxious and intimidated and I would urge those who are causing fear and alarm to carefully consider the impact their actions have on others.”
Vigilante groups have become so frustrated with the clowns terrorising people that they are carrying out patrols.
Chilling footage of a clown armed with a knife rattling doors and peering into windows as he tries to break into a home has been released.
The creepy clown can be seen prowling around the home with the huge blade, trying to get into the house just before 2.30am on the 9th of October.
As many victims have revealed, spotting a killer clown can be a terrifying experience but the police are doing their best to deal with the incidents.
Assistant Chief Constable Catherine Hankinson of Greater Manchester Police told The Sun Online: "The safety of people is our upmost priority; we want people to feel safe going about their daily lives.
