Bombshell statistics show sky-high immigration adds massive strain to UK’s biggest city areas
Worrying forecast showed number of people living in UK biggest cities was only going to increase over the next decade
SKY-high immigration is putting Britain’s 11 biggest city areas under huge pressure, with London’s population growing by nearly 100,000 a year, it emerged yesterday.
Bombshell stats showed net migration alone had pushed up the population of the West Midlands by 56,000 in four years.
Migrants also swelled the number of people in Sheffield by 20,000 and Bristol by 16,000 between 2011 and 2015, the Office for National Statistics revealed.
The ONS said Greater London will rise by another 13 per cent to nearly 10million by 2025. Migrant mums are set to account for more than half of all births.
Alp Mehmet, of Migration Watch UK, said: “It’s no surprise. It’s what mass immigration leads to and why it must be controlled.”
“Let’s not also forget that while the population of our capital city is growing, the number of British citizens living here is actually going down.
