Award-winning Sun photographer Roger Bamber – who photographed the Queen and Olivia Newton-John – has died aged 77

AWARD winning Sun photographer Roger Bamber has died aged 77.

He took shots of stars including Olivia Newton-John and the late Queen, who he said he loved snapping.

Roger spent 19 years on The Sun after he joined the launch team in 1969.

He died three days after Her Majesty, following a short illness.

His widow, former Sun journalist Shan Lancaster, said: “He hated having to cover Ascot and picture snobs.

“The only bit he liked was the Queen.
