After shaking the bag, a crisp the size of her hand landed on the health and safety rep’s lap.

The mum of four said: “I just thought, ‘This is absolutely massive, no one will believe it’s so big’.

My eldest son Robbie said, ‘Wow I think you’ve got a world record.

"You’re going to get thousands of pounds for that’.”

She took a pic of the super-sized savoury, 6in long and 3.7in wide, and sent it to hubby Dan who was also flabbergasted.

But hopes of a crispy windfall were crushed when Dan, 33, arrived home at Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.

She said: “Dan just ate it and said, ‘Yeah tastes nice’. I said, ‘Well that’s the end of that’.”

It came in a 22-bag pack from Iceland.
