Man ‘abducted and shot in the legs up to six times’ in paramilitary style attack in Belfast
Local sources say man was abducted in North Belfast
A MAN has been shot up to six times in the legs in what is believed to have been a paramilitary style attack in Belfast.
The 56-year was shot in the Glenwood area of Poleglass in West Belfast.
Local sources have told the man was abducted in the Ligoniel area of North Belfast and taken to Poleglass.
The PSNI have yet to release details of the attack.
Sinn Féin councillor Stephen Magennis told the: “I've said for a long time now regarding punishment attacks that no guns at all should be brought onto the street."

Mr Magennis continued: ”Bringing guns onto the streets should be a thing of the past and it's something very deeply that people in the community no longer want.
“The message needs to come loud and clear in the community and hopefully these groups will listen.”
