Man ‘abducted and shot in the legs up to six times’ in paramilitary style attack in Belfast

Local sources say man was abducted in North Belfast

A MAN has been shot up to six times in the legs in what is believed to have been a paramilitary style attack in Belfast.

The 56-year was shot in the Glenwood area of Poleglass in West Belfast.

The PSNI have yet to release details of the attack.

Sinn Féin councillor Stephen Magennis told the: “I've said for a long time now regarding punishment attacks that no guns at all should be brought onto the street."

Mr Magennis continued: ”Bringing guns onto the streets should be a thing of the past and it's something very deeply that people in the community no longer want.
