My ex ran off with a Ukrainian refugee – now he’s dumped her people ask if I’d take him back
A WOMAN whose ex-husband ran off with a Ukrainian refugee claims people keep asking if she'll take him back now they've split.
Security guard Tony Garnett, 30, and former partner Lorna, 28, took in Sofiia Karkadym, 22, from Lviv, amid the war with Russia.
Tony said he quickly fell for Sofiia so dumped his partner of 10 years and the pair "started planning the rest of their lives together".
But months later and Tony kicked his latest lover out following a row and they have now officially called it quits.
Pals said his kids’ mum, Lorna, of Bradford, now keeps being asked if she will try to rekindle their romance.
But she definitively told them: “I wouldn’t have him back in a million years.’’

She added: “I knew it would end in disaster for them — I just didn’t think it would come after only four months.”
Tony dumped Lorna and left home with 22-year-old Sofiia.
But he is now all alone after kicking her out of his rented flat following an argument in which he claimed she grabbed a knife and “stabbed’’ a wall.
He also accused Sofiia of being abusive, and said she could not handle alcohol.

Lorna, the mother of his two daughters, told friends that the bust-up came as no surprise.
She told them: “He has thrown away so much.
“He can’t see me because of a restraining order and he hasn’t been seeing the children.
“But it’s hard to feel any sympathy.’’
Lorna is unable to speak publicly about her rift with Tony due to court proceedings.
But a friend said: “Lorna has been so hurt by all this but she’s strong and her entire focus has been on the children, they are her whole world now.
“There is no part of her that wants him back, he’s ruined everything.”
'BLAZING ROW'
Tony and Sofiia split after a blazing row on Saturday as they celebrated his birthday.
He said it led to him calling police to the home in Bradford, West Yorks.
Security guard Tony insisted: “I am 100 per cent through with her. We are finished as a couple. I can’t take her abuse or anger any longer.
“I left Lorna and my two children for her.
“I worked so hard to make this relationship work.
“I also genuinely felt sorry for her. She left her home and her country which was at war and knew nobody here.
“I thought I was in love with her. But there is a side to her which I just cannot put up with any longer. She gets angry and aggressive.
“On Saturday night she picked up a knife and stabbed the wall several times.
“It really scared me and I had no choice but to call the police. That doesn’t make me happy at all. But I was worried about my safety.”
I made a mistake going into a relationship with Sofiia.

Sofiia’s belongings are now in black bin liners ready for her to collect on her return.
Tony added: “I have made a mistake going into a relationship with Sofiia.
“As I have said before, my relationship with Lorna was already over and I was really unhappy. But this wasn’t the right thing for me.
"I’ve tried to help her (Sofiia), I really have. I haven’t abandoned her and have even been messaging her mother to get her to help with the aid of Google Translate.
“I hope she finds somewhere safe to live and is in a happier place. But she’s not for me."
He says Sofiia has been pleading to get back together.
But he knocked her back, saying he had given her “chance after chance after chance”.
The Sun told in May how the pair fell for each other when Sofiia moved in with Tony and Lorna in Bradford, after he signed up to the Government refugee-homing scheme.
IT manager Sofiia had fled her home in Lviv as war raged, but her arrival in the household sparked tensions which quickly boiled over.
Tony walked out with Sofiia just ten days after she arrived.
At the time he said: “We’re planning the rest of our life together.”

She added: “As soon as I saw him I fancied him.”
They moved in with Tony’s parents before finding their own place and applying for a permanent visa for Sofiia.
