Sam had been taking a stroll along with wife Charlotte, 31, and their two kids Symphony, 10, and seven-year-old Elijah, when they say the UFO appeared.

They stopped in their tracks and quick-thinking Sam whipped out his phone to film the flying lights.

He later uploaded the clip to TikTok and can be heard saying "I don't know what you are looking at, but they are UFOs".

He added: "I don't think you realise how lucky you are to witness that."

Speaking to media on Tuesday, he said: "We were up in Hertfordshire for my son’s golf competition.

"My daughter saw what she thought was a shooting star.

“But then it started to go back up again.

“It then did all sorts, it was very interesting."

The area is claimed to be a hotbed of UFO sightings, with others recorded in 2001 and 2007.

However, this may not join the list of unsolved cases, as a separate online clip coincidentally revealed that a stunt pilot was in the area, celebrating a local wedding.

The pilot in the video goes through a routine of aerial acrobatics with lights on his wing tips, looking remarkably similar to the reported UFO.

Online commenters were quick to point on the relation between the two.

One wrote: "I've just seen a TikTok of this shouting that it's a UFO because its going up and down erratically...small world."

Another joked: "10 miles away some guy is filming a UFO TikTok."
