HARD LABOUR?

Jeremy Corbyn gets down on bended knee to sign on for new Ken Loach benefits film I, Daniel Blake

Newly re-elected Labour leader also juggled oranges in his Islington constituency for an anti food waste campaign

JEREMY Corbyn was snapped on his knees at the I, Daniel Blake premiere yesterday, signing his name on a poster in the West End.

The Labour leader reportedly objected to kneeling in front of the Queen but he seemed happy to drop to bended knee at the screening of Ken Loach’s film about benefits.

The film, which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes festival, follows a working man's struggles when he is forced to claim benefits.

He was pictured with the fruit for the Food For London campaign, which highlights the amount of food thrown away by supermarkets.

They were drumming-up support in the lead up to a by-election on Thursday, which was triggered by David Cameron resigning as Witney MP last month.

Mum-of-one Lindsey said: “They were very chatty and David Cameron said he should take the selfie because he had the longest arms.

“It was really bizarre and totally unexpected.”
