SPOOKED horses from the Household Cavalry bolted yesterday — stopping morning rush-hour traffic.
A trio of black chargers raced past five-star hotels and a McLaren supercar showroom.
A source said the horses — which had performed immaculately in the Queen’s funeral processions — were frightened by a bus braking in the rain.
Mounted troops from the elite Household Cavalry lost control of the animals who then bolted out of London’s Hyde Park in the direction of Buckingham Palace.
They then made a sudden about-turn outside the £1,500-a-night Mandarin Oriental.
A witness said: “It was crazy. Suddenly there were these riderless horses cantering down a really busy road.

“I saw one soldier towards the hotel but, by then, the horses were long gone.”
The horses had no saddles as they were being led by soldiers on three other mounts.
One joker said they’d “had a mare”.
The Army said there were no injuries and the mounts returned to Hyde Park Barracks.
