BARS in Leeds were evacuated tonight as a huge blaze erupted in the city following reports of loud explosions.
Flames were seen leaping from a building, which is understood to be a construction site, as smoke filled the city's streets.
Horror photos and videos of the blaze have been shared online.
Millenium Square was reportedly evacuated and people were seen leaving bars with full pints in their hands.
Fire crews from seven different stations were called to the scene, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said in a statement.
A spokesperson added that the top three floors of the derelict building were still alight around 10pm.

One man wrote on Twitter: “Fire in Leeds still not under control. Looks to be spread across multiple floors of the building.
"Loud explosions coming from the site.”
Another added: "Massive fire in Leeds this eve at the old City Council building near the museum.

Flames could be seen across multiple floors, while they lit the sky amber.
Pixel Bar wrote on social media that they were told to shut early.
The venue said: "There's a building on fire further down Great George Street that emergency services have responded to.
“No danger to the bar, but following police advice we're closing our doors until further notice tonight and hope to be open again later this evening. Stay safe!”
The old council, known as the Leonardo building, is Grade II listed and is currently being turned into student flats.
Fire crews were first made aware of the fire just before 8pm, and witnesses' videos and photos started to flood social media around the same time.
Yorkshire Ambulance has dispatched its Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene to support local paramedics.

West Yorkshire Police are at the scene assisting with road closures and Yorkshire Ambulance service said they were standing by at the scene.
It is unknown at this stage if there are any reports of injuries.
