THIS is the horrific moment a carjacking victim is run over by his own vehicle.
Manolis Mourikis was hit by his silver Volkswagen as he chased it along a street moments after it was stolen from him.
The footage – captured on CCTV – shows the 33-year-old running after the vehicle as stunned bystanders look on.
The car then stops suddenly and Mr Mourikis manages to grab the driver’s side door and open it.
But as he tries to lean in, the driver shifts the car into reverse and shoots backwards, striking the victim with the open door, and almost colliding with a red van coming up the street.
The Volkswagen then drives off with Mr Mourikis giving chase.
He was cared for by passers-by until an ambulance arrived and took him to the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
