Dog walker finds human foot in woods as cops inform missing man’s family

The foot was found in Nansavallan Woods near Truro, Cornwall

A DOG walker has discovered a severed human foot inside a boot while walking through woodland in Cornwall.

Following the harrowing find, police are supporting the family of a man who has been missing for the last four months.

The foot was found in Nansavallan Woods near Truro, Cornwall, on Thursday.

Although it has not yet been formally identified, relatives of 39-year-old Lee Gilbert have been informed.

Mr Gilbert has not been seen since June, when he was captured by CCTV cameras at Truro station.

He is believed to have been wearing hiking boots when he disappeared.
