Tributes to beautician mum, 50, killed in rural village, as man, 54, quizzed on suspicion of murder
TRIBUTES have been paid to a mum who was killed in a rural village.
The beautician, named locally as Clair Armstrong, 50, died on Sunday in Messingham, North Lincolnshire.
Cops were called to her address in the early hours after reports of a disturbance.
A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
The mum and owner of Oliver's beauty salon, was well-respected in the North Lincolnshire village.
One family member wrote online: "Rest in peace beautiful my heart is broken, can’t believe my beautiful cousin has gone, what a cruel world."

While a neighbour who knew her said: "Clair was friendly and always spoke to me when we were out walking the dogs.
"I just can't believe this has happened right on our doorstep."

Clair was also a talented skydiver and regularly took part in jumps at the local centre at Hibaldstow.
Another Messingham business owner added: "I just can't believe it, I've only ever seen this sort of thing on the news. The whole thing is just such a shock."
Cops confirmed a cordon will remain in place at the property for a number of days.
Clair's family have been informed of her death and are being supported by specialist officers.
Appealing to the public, Detective Chief Inspector Simon Vickers said: “We understand that a tragic incident of this nature will cause shock to the local community, but I would like to reassure people that this is an isolated incident between individuals known to each other with no wider risk to members of the public.
“Those living in the area can expect to see a number of officers over the coming days whilst a scene guard remains in place, and we continue with our investigation.
"I would encourage anyone with information, or anyone with concerns, to please come and speak to us.
