Eco-idiot bailed after throwing soup on Van Gogh painting joins Just Stop Oil M25 protest

A STUDENT already on bail for throwing soup at a Van Gogh painting joined eco protesters in causing more misery for motorists.

Phoebe Plummer, 21, supported members of Just Stop Oil as they tried to bring the M25 around London to a standstill by climbing gantries.

She is on bail for tossing tomato soup over a £76million Van Gogh Sunflowers painting at the National Gallery last month.

She had previously been involved in other Just Stop Oil demos, including gluing herself to the road to stop traffic.

She said yesterday: “I understand people must be frustrated with us, and rightly so, but we have to disrupt daily life because we are hurtling towards climate catastrophe.”

In Essex, police detained a woman at 7.10am as she tried to climb a gantry close to junction 28.

It was the fourth successive day of protests on the M25 by Just Oil.

National Highways said there had been “multiple police-led incidents” but all had been resolved.
