Mum releases harrowing hospital bed picture of her teenage son fighting for his life after knife attack
Police are calling for witnesses after Jamel Boyce was stabbed repeatedly in the chest and legs in Clapham
THE heartbroken family of a teen left fighting for his life after he was stabbed repeatedly have released a picture of him in intensive care.
Jamel Boyce's parents hope the harrowing image will help bring his attackers to justice after he was knifed in the chest and legs in a seemingly unprovoked attack.
The 17-year-old's mum said it was "impossible" to describe the pain her family was suffering following the attack during an altercation with four males in Clapham, South London, earlier this month.
Pansy Boyce said she hoped the image of the 17-year-old lying unconscious in a hospital bed would show the devastating impact of knife crime.
Jamel's 47-year-old mother said: "Jamel is a shy, loving boy who is always smiling.
"Jamel is my only child and I'm asking if anyone knows anything no matter how small to please contact the police."
She added: "It is impossible to describe the pain our family is suffering at this time as our son lies in hospital fighting for his life.
"It breaks my heart to release this picture of Jamel but it shows plainly the devastating impact that carrying and using a knife can have.
"I would hate for any other mother or family to go through what we are going through right now. If you know what happened, and who did this to my son, please look into your conscience and speak to police."
His father, Patrick said: "Jamel is a very loving son, who is kind and considerate always putting others before himself.
"This should never have happened to Jamel and I'm asking if anyone has any information concerning who has done this to please contact the police."
Detectives are now hoping that shoppers leaving a nearby Sainsbury's supermarket may hold vital clues.

Detective Sergeant Paul Graves, from Lambeth CID, said: "Jamel has received injuries that have left him critically ill and I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity at around 19:00hrs that evening to come forward and speak to police.
"Our enquiries have also established that Jamel was also with a group of people in McDonald's restaurant in Clapham High Street at around 15:00hrs earlier on 14 October.
"It appears there was a dispute involving this group and it is vital that anyone who was there and who can shed light on what happened comes forward and speak to us."
