They were friends for many years and dated during high school, but started a long-term affair after Kyle and her husband divorced in 1974, the website reported.

She says that during this time Clinton admitted to her he was a sex addict and indicated he was unhappy in his marriage.

He also confided in her that he wanted a child with Hillary to dispel rumours she was a lesbian, she said.

Kyle described the moment she first met a young Hillary Clinton. She said she was was shocked by her dirty appearance and poor personal hygiene.

Kyle explained: "I noticed that the woman emitted an overpowering odour of perspiration and greasy hair", adding that she hoped she wouldn't "gag" when Hillary entered the car.

She claimed her relationship with Bill Clinton ended when he threatened to destroy her if she cooperated with media investigating claims of their affair.

Kyle told DailyMail.com: "When I warned him about this story, which I had no intention of cooperating with, his threat to me was, 'If you cooperate with the media, we will destroy you'.

The Clinton campaign for The White House has in recent weeks been rocked by the historic allegations of sexual assault and infidelities of her husband Bill.

Most spectacularly, her opponent Donald Trump invited several women who have accused Bill Clinton of rape and sexual assault to the final presidential debate.

During a press conference prior to the event, Juanita Broaddrick said: "Mr. Trump may have said some bad words, but Bill Clinton raped me and Hillary Clinton threatened me. I don't think there's any comparison."

Broaddrick, a former Arkansas nursing home administrator, first claimed 17 years ago that Bill Clinton raped her during a meeting in Little Rock in 1978.

Her lawsuit against him was dismissed in 2001 and criminal charges were never filed. Clinton has denied the allegations.
