NORTH Korea’s latest propaganda video shows portly leader Kim Jong-un piloting a plane.

Clearly an attempt at military posturing, the typically over-the-top footage also shows the obese dictator meeting soldiers on a firing range.

Before he takes to the skies, Jong-un is filmed, complete with his signature black winter coat and coiffed haircut, inspecting one of the troop’s pistols before briefing the soldiers.

The clip also shows the obese 32-year-old watching tanks firing shells and missile strikes.

Released by Korean Central Television and posted on the YouTube channel, the low-budget video finishes with Jong-un in the cock-pit of an aircraft.

And with the help of an experienced co-pilot, the infamously short-tempered tyrant successfully gets the plane off the ground.

In the full version of the video, which is over one hour long, the unconventional dynamo is pictured at Pyongyang’s famous water park which opened three years ago, reports Austrian news outlet .

Jong-un is also seen riding on top of a massive submarine.

Meanwhile, the fridge-raiding dictator is reportedly gaining huge amounts of weight because he can’t control his love of European cheeses and expensive wine.

The Kim family’s ex-sushi chef Kenji Fujimoto has claimed the head of state’s love of indulgent food and drink is also fuelling his struggle with alcohol-related issues.

And this week, an American intelligence boss said the policy of trying to persuade North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons is a “lost cause.”

James Clapper, the Director of US National Intelligence, claims the best strategy to deal with the rogue state was to cap its capabilities.

He said: “I think the notion of getting the North Koreans to denuclearize is probably a lost cause. They are not going to do that – that is their ticket to survival.”
