A SHOCKED driver has captured the moment a lorry driver opens the back of his truck and a group of people jump out on to a motorway.

The dashcam footage shows three men and two women, thought to be migrants, climbing out of the back of the onion lorry, driven by a man thought to be Spanish.

The video was uploaded to the Kent 999s Twitter feed, which looks at crime in the county.

It claimed the footage was taken on the A282 near Dartford, Kent. Police later confirmed they were called to the M25 just after 3pm yesterday afternoon, but found "no trace" of the group.

The driver, who ushers out the people possibly hoping to seek asylum in the UK, is a middle aged man wearing a yellow T-shirt and jeans.

He is seen opening the back doors of the lorry where the people were travelling among crates of onions.

During the 45 seconds of video a young man and young women leave the trailer, before an older man and elderly woman climb down.

The driver in the car behind says: "No way. He's letting them out. Oh, I've never seen anything like this in my f****** life."

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 3.40pm on Thursday 27 October to a report of five suspected migrants being seen exiting a lorry near Junction 1B on the M25.

"Officers attended the scene however no trace of the suspected migrants was found.

"We are aware of a video circulating social media but we are not in a position to confirm which incident relates to this video."

During the past week the refugee camp in Calais, dubbed the 'Calais Jungle' has been dismantled by French authorities.

Thousands of people who migrated from war-torn countries to the French/UK border in the hope of seeking asylum in Britain have now been ferried to other parts of France, as many are still desperately trying to cross the border to join family members in the UK.

Unaccompanied children have been seen sleeping in the roads near the former site of the camp.

Paris’s first official refugee camp is due to open within the next few days.

The new facility will be men only, and only take 400 migrants at a time. Even then, they will only be able to stay for a maximum of ten weeks at a time.

It will open close to the Gare du Nord Eurostar hub, from where high speed trains travel to and from London.
