A SCOTS mum has been left baffled after spotting a mysterious object flying above her home.
Claire Hall was getting her three sons ready for school at her home in Roseneath, just across the bay from Helensburgh, around 8:40am when they yelled through asking about something strange in the sky.
When they went out to the garden she spotted a strange item appearing to fall through the air.
The 33-year-old student grabbed her phone and began to film what she saw.
The mysterious object appeared to be spherical and left two trails behind it as it moved through the clear sky.
Counselling student Clair told The Scottish Sun: "I've never seen anything like it. I saw a meteorite a few years ago but this was nothing like that.
"Me and my mum are into things to do with space so I called her to take a look but she couldn't see it."
Claire described her amazement after spotting the mystery item.
"It was very different looking. I thought it might have been a satellite but it was so big and bright and the shape of it, it was just amazing.
"It was different so I'm glad I got to see it."

But after the strange encounter, Claire took a guess at what it could be.
She joked: "I'm not going to say it was a UFO, even though it technically is an unidentified flying object but it maybe could be some kind of meteorite.
"I have no idea what it is, that's why I find it so interesting."
But the Argyll mum came up with a unique way to describe the object to her kids when they asked about it.
She said: "Before they went to school the kids were asking what it was.
"To me, it kind of reminded me of the Golden Snitch from Quidditch in the Harry Potter movies."
Claire summed up her early-morning UFO experience saying: "It was quite an interesting thing to see."
Back in September, we told how a "brilliant fireball" that was spotted in the skies across Scotland was "definitely a meteor" that may have broken off from a passing asteroid.
