Police had launched a man hunt after the crash which killed the 18-year-old
COPS have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run which resulted in the death of an 18-year-old girl.
Tragic Georgie Ann Evans, 18, was found lying in the road following a crash between the car and a Ford Fiesta she was driving at around 10.35pm on Thursday.
The parents of the teenager have described her as "beautiful" and "kind-spirited" and asked anyone with information to come forward.
Officers were called to the a collision between an Audi and Ford Fiesta in Priory Road, Dudley, at 10.35pm on Thursday.
Georgie, from Himley, was confirmed dead at the scene while a male passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The Audi was abandoned sparking a manhunt to trace a man who was seen fleeing the scene.
Today it emerged a 24-year-old man had handed himself in at a local police station on Friday night.
He is now being quizzed on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A tribute from Georgie's parents said: “Our beautiful, kind-hearted and spirited daughter has been taken away from us.
"We appeal to anyone to please come forward with any information that may assist the investigation.”
Sergeant Chris Ridge, from the West Midlands Police Collision Investigation Unit, said: "A young woman has tragically lost her life and we have specialist officers supporting her family at this time.
"We are examining CCTV in the area as we try to piece together what happened and I would ask anyone who saw anything to get in contact.
"I would appeal directly to driver to do the right thing and come forward.”
Georgie posted a photo of her black and red trim Fiesta on Facebook with the comment "Sorry I get too gassed over my car" just two days before the crash on Tuesday.
