'DON'T SAY XMAS'

Woke London museum renames its iconic Christmas display to ‘winter festival’

A MUSEUM has renamed its Christmas exhibition as the “Winter Festival”.

The Museum of the Home had displayed festive-themed family living rooms from the Tudor period up to 2010.

But this year it says visitors can “celebrate Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, Lunar New Year and learn how they are marked at home”.

The Rooms Through Time collection will also feature a new “celebration of the winter solstice through a Black, queer lens”.

Toby Young, founder of the Free Speech Union, fumed: “Britain’s museum sector has been completely captured by the woke cult.”

Formerly the Geffrye Museum, the venue in Hoxton, East London, dropped the name of 1600s slave owner Robert Geffrye last year after repair works.

The exhibition has had more than £8million in Government subsidies since 2018.

The outrage comes after “woke” bosses at Brighton University warned staff the word “Christmas” was too “Christian-centric” and could offend some students.

The Museum of the Home was approached for comment.
