Uncomfortable moment groom gropes bride as part of bizarre wedding tradition in China

THIS IS the bizarre moment a bride is groped by her husband as guests yell at the pair as part of a wedding tradition.

Filmed on a mobile phone, the unbelievable footage depicts the groom purposefully groping his bride in front of the audience while wearing a blindfold.

The blushing bride looks extremely uncomfortable, turning her face away from the camera as her husband’s hands move from her breasts to her hips.

After more than a minute of the awkward ritual, he even places his hands by her crotch.

Moments later he tries to put his hands down her bra.

Having had enough, she swiftly bats his fingers away.


According to the person who filmed the clip, the groping is part of a cultural ritual where the groom has to body search the bride to find a hidden wedding ring.

Though it started in Japan, the tradition quickly spread to China.

After being posted online, the bizarre clip amassed thousands of views in just a few short hours.

Shocked by the footage, one LiveLeak user commented: "What makes this creepy is the fact that she doesn't appear to be enjoying this game."

Another wrote: "She looks like she's about to cry."

A third said: "Far too weird for a wedding.”
