Woman mauled to death in dog attack horror just streets away from where tragic schoolboy Jack Lis was savaged
A WOMAN has been mauled to death in a horrifying dog attack just a few streets from where schoolboy Jack Lis was savaged.
Shirley Patrick, 83, was rushed to hospital in Caerphilly, South Wales, on Saturday, December 3.
According to police, the grandmother suffered life-threatening injuries at her home on Heol Fawr.
Despite her family's hopes she would pull through, the pensioner sadly passed away during the early hours of this morning.
A 55-year-old man - believed to be her son Paul - was also taken to hospital with minor injuries has now been released.
The tragedy was just half a mile from a house where schoolboy Jack Lis died last year.

The 10-year-old was killed by an eight-stone dog nicknamed "Beast".
Gwent Police arrested four people in connection with the alleged attack two weeks ago.
They are three men aged 20, 25 and 31, and a woman, 28.
They have all been released on conditional bail.

Cops have identified the breed of dog as a large black XL bully cross cane corso breed - which has been seized and put down.
Neighbours said specially trained firearms officers, police and paramedics rushed to the scene where "all hell broke loose".
One neighbour said: "She's just a nice old lady who you see walking around.
"Poor thing to suffer like that at her age."
