Tragedy after body found at Selby Dam Pumping Station as cops launch investigation
A BODY has been found at a pumping station at a dam this morning.
Police have launched an investigation after the discovery was reported at the Selby Dam Pumping Station in Selby, North Yorkshire shortly after 9.30am.
The body is yet to be identified.
Police, ambulance and fire services were confirmed to be ath the scene.
Police divers have reportedly been seen at the site.
Cops are requesting that members of the public avoid the area at this time.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Shortly after 9.30am this morning police received reports of a body which was found at Selby Dam Pumping Station.
"The body is yet to be identified.
"Police, ambulance and fire are currently in attendance at the incident.
"Officers are asking that members of the public avoid the area. Enquiries are ongoing and further updates will be provided when available."
