Fugitive gunman who ‘executed two cops in chilling ambushes’ after being ‘kicked out of American football game for racist gestures’ is taken alive
The pair of officers were shot dead in separate attacks in Des Moines and nearby Urbandale in the US state of Iowa

A SUSPECT who reportedly shot dead two police officers in ambush-style attacks has been detained.
Police arrested Scott Michael Greene, 46, after an hours-long search in Des Moines, Iowa - where two officers were gunned down this morning.
Officials announced they apprehended the suspect in Dallas County around 9am, but gave no further details of the arrest.
Greene, who is a resident of Urbandale, Iowa, had been on the run since allegedly shooting the officers in the early hours of the morning.
Police had warned of a "clear and present" danger while Greene remained on the loose.
One officer was shot dead while alone in his patrol car in Urbandale, a city in Des Moines.

Both officers were shot within 20 minutes of one another, with the first shooting shortly after 1am.

The names of the two dead cops have not yet been released, as authorities want to inform their next of kin first.
Speaking at a press conference, Sergeant Paul Parizek said: "In all appearances it looks just like that, that these officers were ambushed.
"It doesn't look like there was any interaction between this coward and the officers they shot in their cars."
Cops released the suspect’s identity at around 8am – just an hour before he was eventually caught.
Members of the public were warned that he was considered “armed and dangerous”.
The news Greene had been captured came as it emerged he had been involved in several run-ins with the police.
Records show he has been arrested for harassment, interfering with an official, assault causing bodily injury, domestic assault and criminal mischief.
In the latest incident before the shootings he allegedly carried out, Greene was booted out of an American football game by two cops.
He is said to have provoked other spectators by waving a confederate flag in front of black people in the crowd.
And the aftermath was captured on a video posted to YouTube that was recorded by Greene himself, showing officers trying to reason with him outside the stadium.
It has also now emerged that Greene’s 66-year-old mother was arrested two weeks ago accused of assaulting her son.
A criminal complaint shows Patricia Greene screamed at her son, Scott Michael Greene, to remove his daughter's service dog from her house on 17 October.
The complaint says Scott Greene was wearing his deceased father's dog tags and that his mother tried to tear them from around his neck.
Greene grabbed his mother's hand and she hit and scratched his face.
He later showed an officer mobile phone footageof the confrontation.
His mother was released on bail and a judge ordered that she have no contact with her son.
