‘I’M SCARED’

I’m a Prince Harry lookalike – I’m terrified my life is in danger after royal revealed his Taliban kill count

A PRINCE Harry lookalike has told how he fears for his own safety after the Duke of Sussex boasted of killing 25 Taliban.

Defence experts this week revealed Harry and his family may now be at risk because of his comments – leading his doppelgänger Rhys Whittock, 39, to also worry about his own security.

Mr Whittock has been working in this capacity since 2017 and was even voted ‘Lookalike of the Year’ by easyJet – which won him free flights for 12 months.

The Sussexes’ Netflix show as well as Harry’s book has ramped up his bookings – and he is constantly recognised on the street.

But now he believes he may be in danger, after Harry controversially revealed information about his time in Afghanistan.

In his new bombshell book the prince says that he did not think of the 25 as “people” but rather “chess pieces” that had to be taken off the board.

He also saw the insurgents he killed as “baddies eliminated before they could kill goodies”, he writes.

The admission generated protests in Helmand province over the weekend – and sparked fears that British troops, and Harry himself could be the target of an attack.

Rhys told The Sun: “Because Harry has now given out information like how many people he killed in Afghanistan experts are saying that he’s put his family’s lives in danger and at risk.

“That means it’s also a risk for me because I look so much like him.

“It’s a little worrying. It means now I will only be able to get changed into my Harry outfits once I get to a studio or photoshoot where I’ll be working. I won’t be walking around in his clothes anymore.

“Previously if I was going on a job in London I would have just gone on the tube in my suit or whatever was needed. That’s something I will be reconsidering now for my own safety.

“I’m now a security risk. Some people may think I’m the real Harry because I look exactly like him.

“You never know what could happen. There’s some crazy people out there so it is a little scary.”

Rhys says even his mum has fears over his resemblance to Harry.

He explained: “After Megxit I couldn’t walk more than 20 metres without someone stopping me for a photo or commenting or laughing

“So its going to be very difficult for me to walk around now after the Netflix show and the book

“I didn’t really think of it until I had a text message from my mum to say that I’m now a target because of his revelations.

“My mum wants me to now wear glasses while I’m out so I look less like him.”

Earlier today the Duke of Sussex exclusively told  that he opened up about killing 25 militants in an attempt to “heal” himself and help others.

Speaking to Erin Hill, Harry said: “There’s truly no right or wrong way to try and navigate these feelings, but I know from my own healing journey that silence has been the least effective remedy.

“Expressing and detailing my experience is how I chose to deal with it, in the hopes it would help others.”
