‘At least one Brit aid worker dead’ and fears grow for second as Putin mercenaries brandish passports of hero volunteers
PUTIN'S mercenaries have brandished passports belonging to two British aid workers missing in Ukraine after claiming at least one is dead.
Russian forces said they had found a body, but it is unclear whether it belongs to Chris Parry, 28, or Andrew Bagshaw, 48.
Both aid workers were reported missing in eastern Ukraine, the scene of heavy fighting.
Pictures appearing to show the pair's UK passports were posted online by the pro-Putin Wagner private army.
In addition, Wagner posted Parry's volunteer certificate.
Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin's Telegram channel claimed on Wednesday: ”On January 8, the Ask Wagner hotline received a request to find two British citizens who disappeared on January 6 in Soledar - Andrew Bagshaw and Christopher Parry.

"Today the body of one of them was found. Documents on both Britons were found with him.”
Wagner did not specify whose body was allegedly found.
The fighting unit - mostly prisoners recruited in jails - was behind Russia taking control of parts of the former resort town Soledar and its salt mines.
Prigozhin is a close political ally of Vladimir Putin, nicknamed his "chef".
