A BIZARRE video from 1993 shows Melania Trump become the first female president - in a Slovenian clothing advert.

Former model Melania, who could become the First Lady if husband Donald Trump wins the election next week, was then 23-year-old Melania Knavs.

Meanwhile Elvis Costello's Pump It Up plays in the background, with lines like: "She's been a bad girl, she's like a chemical.

"Though you try to stop it, she's like a narcotic."

At one point in the footage Melania is seen taking phone calls and looking over important political documents.

One of them is about immigration - something her husband has vowed to clamp down on if he takes the top spot.

Natalija Gorscak, director of Slovenian National Television, said: "In the document she is approving three people to cross the border between two countries, it's an immigration document."

"It is the most extraordinary historical coincidence, she looked refined, elegant, really presidential," said Jožica Brodaric who said the wrote the script.

Melania Trump was born in Slovenia (then Yugoslavia) in 1970 and became a US citizen in 2006, the year after she married Trump.

Her latest speech caused uproar on social media after saying she wanted to target cyberbullying if she becomes First Lady.

The wife of Donald Trump appeared to have completely forgotten her husband’s penchant for using Twitter to attack his adversaries, often in a very vitriolic manner.
