The rowdy residents reportedly wreaked havoc on the once-quiet cul-de-sac for years

The group were said to have “wandered around like zombies”, dealt and taken drugs and trespassed in people’s gardens, reports.

Locals also reported public nudity, vehicles arriving “at all times of the day and night” and excessive noise.

But now, after repeated complaints from members of the semi-rural community, the unruly tenants have been booted out of the detached red-brick property in Harriseahead, Staffordshire.

Police secured a partial closure order meaning only certain named people can live at the address for the next three months, with one person explicitly banned.

One pleased resident, who considered moving house when the anti-social behaviour was at its worst, said: “This used to be a quiet neighbourhood but it has become more of a drug den with people walking around like zombies.”

A second, who asked not to be named, added: “It’s drug dealing and has been going on for years, all day and all night.

“It used to be a quiet area but now it attracts all sorts of riff raff.

“We have been waiting for the police to deal with it for ages now.”

While a third, who has lived on Willowcroft Way for 23 years, said: “The change this area has seen is shocking.”

One parent previously told how she was too scared to let her kids play in the front garden, while another said they felt forced to put their home up for sale because of the problems.

Chief Inspector John Owen, of Newcastle-under-Lyme local policing team, said the closure order granted by North Staffordshire Justice Centre was a last resort.

He added: “Anti-social behaviour can blight the lives of communities and unfortunately, this address has caused issues for local residents for far too long.

“We have worked with partners in attempt to reduce the anti-social behaviour, but the occupants have not heeded the advice they have been given.

“Therefore, we have been working with our legal team to secure this order to prevent other people from attending and entering the property.

“This will be policed rigidly and anybody not adhering to the order will be dealt with in accordance with the powers that this order gives.

“I hope that this will send out a message that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and give some much needed respite to the local community.”

The notice reads: “Any persons entering the premises without the permission of Staffordshire Police or North Staffordshire Justice Centre commits an offence and can be arrested.”
