Teenage boy arrested for attempted murder after mum was brutally stabbed at home

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder a woman during breakfast.
The woman in her 40s was stabbed multiple times in her back, neck and shoulder yesterday morning.
Police said the attack happened while the woman ate breakfast, and the teen was arrested in Barrens Close, Woking.
The 42-year-old woman staggered from her home to a house nearby where she raised the alarm.
An air ambulance, paramedics and police scrambled to the house in a leafy part of Surrey, after a 999 call came in from a woman to say her neighbour had been stabbed.
The victim was rushed to St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London, where it was said surgeons had been put on standby her her arrival.
She was still in hospital on Saturday afternoon, in a serious but stable condition.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "Officers attended Barrens Close in Woking at around 9.35am yesterday following concerns for the safety of a woman at an address.
"On police arrival a woman believed to be aged in her 40s, was found with multiple stab wounds to her back. She was taken to St. George's Hospital in a serious condition.
"A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody."
South East Coast Ambulance Service sent two rapid response cars, an ambulance, and the air ambulance to the scene.
In a separate incident, two teenagers will be sentenced later this year for the killing of a woman and her daughter.
