Out of touch judges have set up a clash between Parliament and the British people over Brexit
Those who voted to leave have every reason to be angry and feel duped by court ruling
ON the 23rd 0f June the British people went to the polling stations and cast their vote on whether the UK should remain in the EU or leave.
Parliament had agreed by a majority of 6 to 1 that the British people should make that binding decision and the question had been set by the independent electoral commission, to ensure that the question on the ballot paper was crystal clear.
At every stage of the process the British people were informed that the decision was theirs to make, in fact the guidance given in leaflets to every household by the civil service was, “This is your decision.
The Government will implement what you, (the British people) decide.
I have always believed that the one characteristic of the British people that makes them stand out from others is their sense of fair play.
So when 33.5 million people voted (more than have ever voted in any UK election before) and 17.5 million of those voted to leave - a clear majority, they have a right to expect that the government gets on and acts on their decision.
Yet instead of that, they watch as the political establishment and the rich elite, find every reason to stop us leaving.
It seems that those in these exalted positions don’t pay much store by fair play when it comes to getting their own way.
Yet the latest betrayal and perhaps the worst is that three unelected judges have decided that the vote the British people cast wasn’t binding on the Government and that Parliament should instead decide if we should leave the EU.
Twisting and turning in their out of touch world, the Judges have dismissed the vote the British people cast.
I don’t know where they were during the referendum debate or whether they even bothered to listen, (maybe judges don’t read newspapers or watch television) but they should have noticed that the government said again and again that there was no going back from the public vote - it would be final – leave meant leave.

In deliberately ignoring the instruction given by the British people that the UK must leave the EU, the judges have instead set up a clash between Parliament and the British people.
We, who voted to leave, have every reason to be angry and feel we were duped by the ruling elite, who now deny the vote.
And as if that wasn’t enough, to add even further insult to injury, we have all had to put up with seeing the biggest snake oil salesman of them all - Tony Blair, as he tours the studios saying we should simply ignore the vote of the people and stay in the EU.
Of course the Remoaners are now blowing smoke at everyone by saying that the Judges’ decision is about consulting Parliament and that they really accept the UK is leaving the EU.
What utter nonsense.
In reality a large number of them have made it clear that they intend to scupper any attempt to get the UK to leave the EU, not by fair means but by foul.
Remember these are the same arrogant elite who said after the referendum that those who voted to leave were too old, too stupid and too poor to be allowed to make the decision.
Well, they now plan to take the vote away from the British people unless they can be stopped.
If, as they intend, the Government has to legislate to leave by putting a bill into Parliament, then these Remoaners will do their level best to frustrate the will of the people by bogging it down in parliamentary procedures.
They will add new sections to it and slow its process down in the hope that we will give up and stay in the EU.
The worst offenders will of course be the unelected Lords.
Despite the fact that the Liberal Democrats were pretty nearly wiped out at the last election, they retained over 100 members of the House of Lords.
They have been clear that they want to scrap the result of the referendum and force the British people to stay in the EU.
Labour and Conservative peers who also never accepted the right of the British people to make the decision, plan to join up with the Lib Dems, first to delay the bill and then to vote it down.
They know that this will lead to chaos and force the government they hope, to admit defeat.
For them, so great is their love for the EU, European Law and the anti-democratic nature of the European Union that they are prepared to lay waste to the principle that the People of Britain are sovereign and that we govern only because they allow us to do so on their behalf.
In breaking that ancient relationship they open the door to real anger and frustration that yet again the wealthy elites care nothing for the will of the people.
We, who campaigned and voted for this great decision to leave the EU, must recognise that although we won the vote, we still have a real fight on our hands if we are to defeat the cynicism, arrogance and elitism of those who seek to ignore the will of the 17.5 million people who cast their vote on June 23rd.
Whatever the unelected Judges, or the unelected Peers say, we know that we voted to take back control of our laws, our borders and our money.
Now we want the Government to get on and do just that.
