Luxury Lamborghini worth £200,000 written off after late-night city centre smash
The insurance bill for the Italian supercar will be astronomical
A WEALTHY driver is facing an eye-watering insurance bill after a £200,000 Lamborghini was smashed in a city centre accident.
The Aventador supercar was likely written off in the crash in Manchester in the early hours of Saturday.
Witnesses said the Italian motor was involved in a collision with a van and then careened into some scaffolding at around 3.30am. No one was injured.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said they were called to reports of a collision between a Lamborghini and a Renault van, but no arrests were made.
Professional photographer Reece O’Bierne, 19, from Salford, was working at a nightclub close to the scene and took these images of the pricey accident.

He told the : "The bonnet was virtually gone, the engine was smashed to pieces and there was oil all over the road.
"There were quite a lot of people who had been in the nearby clubs and within 30 seconds a crowd of about 40-50 people had gathered and were all taking pictures.
"Someone’s going to have a massive insurance claim."
