SYRIA'S monstrous dictator Bashar al-Assad and his deluded tourism bosses are continuing to promote their war-ravaged nation as a holiday destination.
Glossy videos of beach resorts, the nation's capital Damascus and the city of Aleppo are being broadcast to the world as inviting places to visit.
But far from being a tourist hot spot, the Middle Eastern nation is home to the world’s worst war.
The death toll is approaching 500,000 after more than five years of war.
While a flashy videos are broadcast to the world from the Syrian Tourism Boards YouTube channel and Facebook page, reports are emerging of terrible atrocities being inflicted by government forces on their own people.
Click on to one of the mini-movies and you are transported into a peaceful and serene world.
One shows the capital with shots panning past posters of al-Assad and then over hoards of young people sporting white T-shirts.
It culminates with the pro-regime crowd opposite a statue of a soldier and the massive words “I love Damascus”.
But while al-Assad projects this image of the city to the world, horrific reports of slaughter of civilians has been emerging.
Six children were killed yesterday and dozens more injured after a nursery school in Syria was attacked by regime forces.
The kids were peacefully playing during their break when their nursery was mortar bombed.
Traumatic photos from the scene show young children covered in blood in the rebel-held city of Harasta, a rural suburb of the country's capital, Damascus.
Cluster, bunker-busting and fuel-air bombs are among other deadly weapons of mass destruction being used, especially against rebels in Aleppo.
Hundreds of people have been killed the historical and once prosperous city since the regime forces launched an offensive to recapture it in September.

But as reported, Russian is gearing up for enormous airstrikes on Aleppo.
Already it has dropped menacing leaflets on trapped residents – warning they will be “destroyed” if they stay.

In one attack a Russian parachute bomb which created a huge mushroom cloud after exploding in Syria killed 11 civilians, according to a local civil defence official.
The devastating airstrike also injured 25 people in the Aleppo province located in the north west of the war-torn country.
Watching on was seven-year-old Bana Alabed who along with her mum Fatemah, who have been tweeting to the world about their horrifying ordeal in the besieged Aleppo.
The schoolgirl has posted footage of her ordeal as the onslaught begins.
But Russia has held back so far unleashing its the full force of its colossal firepower on the city and rebels and civilians are bracing themselves.
NATO reports it has been tracking two Akula (Shark) class nuclear-powered attack submarines and a diesel-engined Kilo-class submarine as they moved to join up with the mighty aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov.
The subs are believed to be carrying Kalibr cruise missiles which can be armed with nuclear or conventional warheads and are in striking distance.
